What is the Bible for?

  • The Bible is God’s message to humanity; it tells us who He is and how we can live in relationship with Him.
  • It is both history and instruction: real events that show God at work, and timeless wisdom for how we live today.
  • The Old Testament helps us learn from God’s covenant with Israel, showing His holiness, justice, and promises.
  • The New Testament reveals Jesus Christ, the fulfillment of those promises, and teaches us how to live as His followers.
